Hi; If this is the wrong place for this, please put it wherever it belongs

I just wanted to give a brief and heartfelt thanks to all those who put in the effort and work to make MobileRead the premier place to get information and help on all things concerning ebooks.

I'm a new owner of a Kindle 3G and also have an Ebookwise 1150. I had found this site when I was just dreaming of owning any kind of ebook and found out so much information it was staggering. Then when I had questions/problems/concerns I found out that this was the place to ask as there was always somebody available to help and never made me feel like an idiot.

Anyway, I just wanted all of you to know that you are very much appreciated. I'm not going to name names for fear of leaving somebody out. Keep up the great work. And may your karma rise to astronomical levels

I'm another new Kindle owner. I scoured the web before deciding which eBook reader to purchase, and whether to purchase now or wait until something else came out. Then, during the 5 days between purchase and delivery (I wanted free shipping, and I ordered just before a 3-day weekend) I searched and searched for more websites to feed my craving for news, commentary, tips, FAQs, and perspective in relation to my new Kindle.

A couple of weeks have passed now, and as the dust settles, I'm finding the MobileRead forum is the one e-reader site I'm coming back to every day, several times a day. And every other Kindle-related site I've been to is listed, reviewed, and discussed here as well. So let me add my thanks to Bergette's.

The site is filled with helpful, knowledgeable people. As with any large site, we will have our share of trolls, spammers and *very* opinionated members, but do stick around. We've got a lot to share.

Just don't start or enter threads about DRM or Copyright...

It is a great site, but I have yet to find out how to opt out of Karma.

I have checked the Profiles and Settings several times, and haven't found out how.
Also I have asked the question several times to no avail.

Any help would be appreciated.
