While wiki is a good excuse, the real reason is probably the same reason that the Internet exists today in the form it does.
People want access to porn. |

Since 350-s are not discontinued, neither 950-s are, it's reasonable to assume 650-s will be upgraded. (heh, or amazon got all 6"-er Pearl-s... and that for years to come... )
I think "free internet" thing that comes with 3G models is inherently broken. It could only work, if you badly screw internet experience, one way or the other, to reduce the traffic. Having it as an option, to put my own SIM card into it, is what most countries to the East of US would ask for. Well, WiFi is also doing no harm, considering how powerfull 950's browser is (webkit based, scores 83% in acid test) Quote:

I think they will push the 950 (since its wi^fi) to compete head to head with kindle
but they need to lower the price |

I've been waiting to get a 650; but I've noticed that although they have now been in-stock at Sony's site for awhile, they haven't come into stock at any of the major retailers. Seems odd to me, since the 350 and 950 are readily available everywhere and they are all based in the same technologies. I'm very tempted to buy a 650, but hesitate in the face of these supply mysteries and all of these rumors of an upgrade in March.
