Search for outdoor Reader

Hello,

Ich search for a Ebook Reader woth the following Conditions:

Display 7 Zoll
LCD Display to read read directly in the Sun, too
Android 2.1 or above
WLAN

Does anybody have an Idea whot Device i can get?

Hi Gucky, I think you may not be getting any responses (and having any luck in your search) due to the LCD in direct sunlight constraint. LCDs are notoriously poor in direct sunlight. Are you sure an E Ink ereader wouldn't be good for you -- they work great in direct sunlight.

Also, by "WLAN" you mean either WiFi or 3G, right?

Hi gucky, my blackberry is excellent at reading in the sun. Although it does not have a seven in screen, I think is more like three inch it does great in the sun. The berry is based around a proprietary OS but there are smart phones out there that run on Android and they can get you electronic books very well. The problem with this approach is the cost of the data plan, so if you have a smart phone already you have the data plan so why not get as much out of it as you possibly can.

Advantages:

No need to cary anything additional
Can display books in any lighting

Disadvantages:

Tiny screen
