Mobi Metadata and Kindle3

I just got my Kindle 3 and the most recent update. Calibre is wonderful. I am seeing some strange behavior. I have about 240 mobi books in Calibre. All are DRM free. I have them loaded on the Kindle. When I look at my Calibre library all have authors. When I look at the reader list in Calibre all have authors.

When I look on the Kindle, a few (around 20) do not have authors showing on the title list? I have tried removing and reloading but no change. Am I doing something wrong?

When I've had problems like that I reconvert them in mobi again. That has worked to fix both epubs and mobi books that have not been "perfect". Although I do have two books that I can't get to work no matter what I have tried, two out of about 750 - I can live with that!

convert them to mobi if they are already in mobi convert from mobi to mobi

have a question about the kindle 3 wifi i just purchased the calibre program does not see it
why is this happening does calibre not support it yet?
