create chapters at regular intervals?
The only thing which is better in Stanza Desktop in converting files, is that Stanza creates chapters at regular intervals, if it does not find any chapter in the html file (or rtf). Is it possible to let calibre do the same, which means create chapters at regular intervals (every 50 pages or something like that)? Because without chapters it took so long to load an ebook in Stanza for iPhone.
If its not possible, then i would like to request this feature |

But the problem with that is that the chapters will be incorrect and you'll have page breaks at places that are incorrect. The solution is to edit the source as needed to fix things so a ToC is generated or have a look to see what regular expression can be used to define ToC elements.

I don't know anything about html commands oder in using html editors. So for people like me it would be good, if calibre would do this job. |

Thanks, this works fine
But now I habe an other Problem. I converted a html ebook for Stanza for iPhone. But the upper 20% of the display is without any lines and at the lower displaypart there a about 20% of the lines are missing. So everything is moved out of place. But this is the only ebook with this Problem. If you want, I could send you the html file (but its in german). |

this happens if the HTML uses non reflowable markup like tables or <pre> tags
Try the linearize tables option |

I've tried the linearize tables option, but it did not work. It's still moved out of place...

Here is a Part of the html Code from a place, where the lines are moved out of place. Maybe it helps you...:

The first thing to do is save it as filtered HTML so it doesn't contain all the word specific tags in it
