Calibre doesn't detect my PRS-600

Hello!

I have Windows Vista (32 bit).

When I firstly plugged my Sony PRS-600 Touch into USB, computer recognized it as 3 disk drives (one with contents of inner memory of device, another one for SD card, third one with distrib of Sony E-book Library).

I didn't install E-book Library, and installed Calibre (I had ejected the PRS first). Then, I plugged in the device again, and Windows said that some error occurred while installing drivers. Calibre didn't detect the device either.

I've restarted the computer. Plugged in the device again, and Windows said something like 'Unknown device is configured and ready to use'. Calibre still doesn't detect the device.

I'd like some help with configuring Windows and/or Calibre so that it detects the device. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to MobileRead, EugZol.
Calibre would certainly have detected the device if the computer also had. If you can't see the reader as three new drives when you plug it in, I suggest resetting the reader and trying again. It happened to me once and that's the way I solved it. Good luck!

Glad to hear it!
Reset, like restarting windows, is the first thing to try when the reader is misbehaving
I hope you enjoy your new reader. Other than that one reset, it has worked flawlessly for me the 3 months I've had it.
