Pocketbook 902 hangs at startup

Hi

I'm having trouble with my Pocketbook pro 902 and I don't know what to do with it. I connected my PB to the PC this morning and pressed the power button. Since then it has been stuck on the "dear user" screen and won't respond to anything I do.

I can't access it through the PC since I don't get to the part where I choose PC link, pressing the power on/off button does nothing and I don't have anything small enough to stick into the reset thing. (I assume you're supposed to stick a needle or something in there?) I don't have any external memory either. I tried searching this forum and found suggestions to update the firmware etc but I have no idea how to do that.

I'm horrible at dealing with devices like this so any advice you can give would be great.

Try a paper-clip, not a needle to reset the device

If the reset button doesn't help get a cheap micro-SD card with 1 or 2 GB (cost less than 5$ and you can still use them afterwards) and a card reader (if your PC doesn't have one built in), download FW from here, unpack it to the SD card and insert intto the 902.
Then press "power" and both "page turn" buttons at the same time until you see something happening.
For the rest of the process follow instruction osn the screen.
