Ja, auch zu AGB-Formulierungen gibt es eine grenzwertige Urheberrechtsdiskussion ...

Übrigens: Habt ihr die "funtastische" Geschichte mitbekommen in der sich US-Copyright-Lawyer momentan in den Haaren haben, weil eine Seite sich darauf beruft, dass die andere durch Kopie von Schriftsatzteilen der einen das Copyright an deren Schriftsätzen verletzt hat?

Ich hätte noch http://www.eleboo.de/ anzubieten. Neue Plattform, daher noch wenige User. Ab Februar soll es zusätzlich möglich sein, seine eBooks zu verkaufen.

Das ist ja so nicht korrekt Dieter, der Preis ist in der Beschreibung jedes Buches mit angegeben, nur im Anrisstext noch nicht. (Sind ja aber auch erst ingesammt 4 Bücher online und davon 3 noch aus der Testphase. Ich weiß nicht was du an schlechtem Stil hier findest. Es wird die Möglichkeit gegeben Ebooks kostenlos einzustellen (wofür auf den meisten anderen Plattformen schon Geld genommen wird. Wer sein Ebook als GraitsEbook einstelen will, kann dies gern mit einem Link auf seine Opt-in-Page machen, und wer sein Buch verkaufen will bekommt 85% vom Netto-Verkaufspreis zugesichert und nicht wie sonst zwischen 30 und 50 %.
Also ich finde viel fairere Bedingungen liessen sich nicht aufsetzen.

Wenn's darum geht, eigene Werke selbst zu veröffentlichen, kann ich Amazons DTP wirklich empfehlen. DTP ist benutzer-freundlich und (viel wichtiger) finanziell vielversprechend.

Ich war am Anfang echt mistrauisch, und habe meine Kurzgeschichten fast widerwillig als eBooks veröffentlicht. Aber im Moment verkaufe ich durch Amazon.com 3-10 eBooks täglich. Das sind kleine Kurzgeschichten, die auch schon anderswo veröffentlicht wurden und demgemäß durch Amazon günstig verkauft werden -- also werde ich davon ganz bestimmt nicht reich. Aber ein kleiner netter Zufluß ist es schon...

Ich sollte dazu sagen, daß meine Erfahrung sich hauptsächtlich auf Amazon.com beschränkt. Bei Amazon.de verkaufe ich eher wenig. Ist ja klar; die Bücher sind auf Englisch und die Kundschaft bei Amazon.de liest wohl lieber auf Deutsch...

Ich lese schon das eine oder andere auf Englisch, dazu muss es aber immer einen guten Grund geben.

Vielleicht stellst du mal hier dein Werk etwas vor. Science Fiction ist schon mal gut, aber in welche Richtung geht es?

Um... in allen möglichen?

Das sind hauptsächtlich Geschichten, die sich an einem fernen Planeten bzw. in einer Fantasiewelt abspielen. Für Deutschsprachige sind die lesbarsten wahrscheinlich Blue Ink und Dead Men Don't Cry. Beide sind relativ kurz und unkompliziert in der Schreibweise.

Mein persönlicher Lieblingsgeschichte bis jetzt wäre Backlash. Darin geht's um einen Mann, der von Freiheitskämpfer aus der Zukunft angeworben wird, und zwar auf extrem unerwartete Weise...
