Hi, I'm an i-library (ebk format) user

Hi, everyone.
I am an "i-library" ebook reader user from Taiwan
and a volunteer administrator of i-library forums

http://i-library.kolin.com.tw/bbs/index.asp (in tranditional Chinese)
http://www.baizhan.com.cn/index.php?showforum=719 (in simplified Chinese)

The i-library is a kind of ebook reader using 'ebk' format.
The display is 6.4 inch diagonal, 640*480 pixel, 4 gray level SSC LCD.
Althought the display is green now, a white version is under development (as attached photo).

I am interested in any new ebook reader, too.
Glad to meet you all.

Hi Segatang, nice to have another e-book fan with us!

That's an interesting reader that we don't seem to hear too much about. Except someone else had indicated that it's a rebranded argosy EBK 683. Is that right?

BTW, that upcoming white version looks pretty cool!

Hi, Mr. Russell, you are right. The i-library is a rebranded argosy EBK 683.

The series of argosy EBK modules are:
EB660-> link to PC via RS232 port
EB680-> link to PC via RS232 port + mp3 module
EB663-> link to PC via USB port
EB683-> link to PC via USB port + mp3 module
spec. of EB683 :http://www.vigour.com.tw/english/pro...book/ebook.htm
(vigour and argosy are both subsidiary companies of kolin)
Those hardwares and displays are similiar.

Although in 2003 there were many branded argosy EBKs such as MiniBu, SinBon etc, only the i-library remains since the green display...(I think)

It is rumored that the white version is upcoming in last 2006.
