Hello I am new, I use Kindle Comic Converter 5.5.2 to convert from cbr to epub for my Kindle Paperwhite. It works pretty ok, except that 1 every 2 pages is blank. Any idea why please? thanks

Blank pages are usually a result of picking the wrong device profile. If you have the latest Paperwhite, please pick Kindle PW 11 profile.

Also, please go to the website and download the latest version, v5.7.0, older versions don't have the latest profiles.

Finally it is ok. I have found an old kindlegen and it is all ok now

Based on your screenshot, you are using Windows 7. A brief google search of the error message indicates that it's a Windows 7 issue.

Unfortunately, Microsoft recently closed the Windows 7 -> Windows 10 free upgrade workaround. Restoring Windows 7 support probably includes downgrading the Python version we build with and finding a Windows 7 machine to build on.

You can check out the readme and try to install KCC from source.

Also, color mode might cause issues. Kindle's don't have color.

when attempting to convert a zip file that is over 200mb to mobi, I am receiving Unsupported Directory structure error, no issues converting to epub, but i caliber doesn't transfer it properly, any ideas?.

Kcc should link you to an error website when that error happens.

You can unzip the zip and use the folder of images directly after fixing the structure.

OK, apparently restoring Windows 7 support is just downgrading down to Python 3.8.

Don't expect any further updates though, the future qt6 upgrade for apple silicon support doesn't support Windows 7.

Is there an option, or will there be, to leave images in color?

Isn’t there a color mode box? Though if you aren’t using a kindle, a cbz reader app like koreader might be better and not need conversion.

Hey, about the Page Flip feature on Kindles, do we know.how to make it work with KCC? The first few mangas I converted have it working properly, but the latest one are not working with it. The only things that I've changef from the first few is 1. updating KCC, 2. using the new kindlegen and 3. setting the images as png for so the dithering looks a bit better. Do we know if any of these 3 things could cause page flip not to work?
