What's the problem with posting release notes?
Seriously?

Is that the only post made this year by an Entourage employee? Either everyone is soooo busy that they just can't spare a few minutes - or - they are running on a skeleton crew (lay-offs) and are overworked - or - they have been overwhelmed with bad news recently and just don't have anything really encouraging to say at the moment - or maybe - this was such a minor, "no one would notice since it is a small under the covers change" that it really wasn't worth noting.

Would it kill anyone to say as much then in a formal Release Notes post, especially since we're actually interested in this trivial bit of information?

Boris, I agree with you. Unfortunately, their lack of comments is causing a lot of concern on the forum. It would relieve many of us quite a bit if we saw life on their end. At one time we saw a lot of enthusiasm from the Administrators even if they weren't able to post frequently.

I have no doubt at all that they're alive and well and very busy. It would be nice to see just a little love for our forums, though... After all, these forums represent the eDGe community at large, which is made up of, well... eDGe customers and prospective customers. To disregard the forums is to disregard customer interest in general (and enTourage isn't any more forthcoming with information in emails, newsletters, the website, or the press).

As sladwig, the Keeper of the Release Notes Posts and Commissioner of Community Blogs, may possibly be on vacation (and hopefully not off with the flu...), I would hope that a "it's not my job" attitude isn't prevailing among the other admins...

Seems to me this silence must come from the upper management. I just can't imagine that every single staff member who reads this forum decided not to post.

Release Notes for 1.13 (enTourage eDGe version)
Release 1.13 is 0.01 greater than 1.12.
It is also 0.02 greater than 1.11. Thanks, and enjoy your eDGe. |

Has anyone tried PMing the admins? Or, is that too inappropriate?

We need to ping them to ask for release notes for a release that has been out for 3 business days?

I continue to be disturbed by the fact that Entourage personnel find time to play policeman on this forum, yet seemingly do not have the time to tell us about a software update.
