Indeed; I certainly believe that the Win8 tablet market is going to be dominated by Intel devices; the big attraction of a Win8 tablet is that it can run all their existing software. Perhaps ARM will win out in other form factors, but I can't see it being a success for Win8 tablets.

I can really only see it being successful in potentially the kiosk or embedded systems market, unless something bold is done to make it catch on for consumers. People will want Windows to be able to run Windows apps, and they don't care about the technical details.

It hasn't been that popular, since people still want things to be useful if they don't have a net connection.
