Today I Misplaced My Kindle and Almost Had a Heart Attack!!
I went mall hopping with friends today (5 malls in 7 hours). I just got home and could not find my Kindle 2. I searched all over and my heart was racing like I just finished a marathon! Just when I was about to break down and cry, one of my friends called to say she had it. Mind you, I called them an hour ago to ask them if they've seen my Kindle and all of them said no. Turned out when she was going through her shopping bags, my Kindle was among the clothes in one of the bags. I don't have the faintest idea how the heck it got there! I'm just so relieved! I will never take my Kindle shopping again; I can't handle the stress!

My god, they should use all that shopping as a threat to make terrorists talk - I would. The thought of it sends shivers down my spine. Worse than water-boarding.
That's what would stress me out. |

Usually I don't shop that much! But I have 2 boys and I usually start shopping for the school year around this time. I hit only clearance racks at the big department stores (Macy's, Dillard, Neiman Marcus, etc.) and usually able to find a ton of clothes for the new school year for very little money. I mean $80 jeans for $24 and I still used a 20% off coupon! I was able to buy my boys a ton of jeans, short, and t-shirts. I put them in the guess room closet until August. I do inventory at the end of July to see what they have and it's less shopping and very little money spent to get them ready for the new school year. I probably will do it 2 more times before the end of July! Last edited by Lilly; 06-07-2009 at 09:20 AM. |

I think you almost had a heart attack because you realized you could buy a Sony to replace it!

You know, as someone who has actually had a heart attack, it was nothing like the colloquial "having a heart attack". Just sayin'.

Yes, I have a beautiful blue PRS-505, my 1st love, he's been with me since December of 2007. I use it for a lot of library books. Since I primarily shop at the Amazon bookstore now, I use my Kindle a lot because I'm too lazy to convert. |
