Smile New Jetbook

My new jetbook arrived yesterday. I added an SD card and a bunch of plain text files. I had a pdf file on it which of course does not fit well on the screen, so I opened it on my computer and then saved it as a text file. The screen is very nice. Under our flourescent lighting it is a silver hue. How does Calibre work. Would it be valuable for this device? I am not all that tech savvy and will need some explanation, I am afraid and will be asking plenty of questions. I even like the slider! Didn't think I would. I can grip it and it won't turn a page but just a light nudge up or down is sufficient to change pages. So, I can hold it easily with my left hand. Bye. Thanks for being here.

I'm happy that you like it so far. Yes, Calibre works well with the jetBook. I use it to convert my files to ePub, then save them to disk. It puts them in a folder structure that works well on the jetBook.

I use a USB 2.0 card reader instead of saving directly to the jetBook because the jetBook only supports USB 1.1, and it is very slow. Once I have saved to the card, I can insert it into the jetBook, and it picks up the new books right away.
