Yes, a screened room,that would be helpful, but for the rest,One can even draw some conclusions that are valido with basic equipment, as long as One Is willing to look at the data without Bias.

Almost none. You can't even know what you are measuring. You haven't got any data unless you have about $2,500 analyser, minimum. You also need calibrated aerials etc.

I know people that get gear tested for FCC, CSA, CE etc for EMI/RFI etc. They have tens of thousands of Euros of gear in just one their own labs but get specialists to do it.

I have advanced RF equipment and I wouldn't bother trying to test an ereader. You are scare mongering.

No "basic" gear tells you anything quantitative.
