I have just downloaded and flashed to the new Tirwal v1.8 firmware.
Everything works great so far. When I enter the tools menu - long press on a book number - the only options I get are: open / copy / delete. If I press 2 (which is copy) I get a message - do you want to copy xxx.epub - press OK to copy or cancel - I press OK - then it says copy successful. If I enter the tools menu again - same book - and press 2 again - it says already existing - do you want to overwrite or cancel. How do I move to another folder or SD card and paste it somewhere else??? Any help appreciated. Thank you. Last edited by teemac; 01-07-2010 at 11:56 AM. |

Hi:
You can't. Copy/Move works only towards root directory at /home (principal memory), or towards root directory at /sd. Bye |

@Tirwal - Thanks for the info.
I still don't understand what the use of Copy is for or how to make it work. It is not important. Delete works well. Thank you for your time - I have only had the ECO Reader for a couple of months and am still exploring it's uses and menus. |

Hi Tirwal
Your 1.8 firmware is working great so far ~ a big thank you for that. Could I ask if you have any plans to include a clock in any future versions? |

Hi:
¿A clock?. You can select to view the clock in CoolReader settings menú, but it's a nonesense, since the clock hasn't real time, and has a big delay every day. Bye |

I upgraded 1.5 to 1.8.
Seemed indeed faster with most functions. Thanks Tirwal !!!!!! ( had some trouble installing, untill I deleted hidden config files from the SD card.) Can i recommend some improvements? - better readable key function screens.... - same goes for the bookmark page Maybe all text in bold as the top lines are good and clearly readable? @LARdT COPY command in 'tools'
Thank you - that explained what it is for and how to use it. The option copies a file including it's folder structure from SD Card to Internal Storage or from Internal Storage to SD card. My copies did not appear until I restarted the ECO Reader. Then I found many files on both Internal Storage & SD that I had copied when trying to work out what the command did - I always leave my ECO Reader on - never turn it off. |

I really liked the Triwal firmware, but I have a feature that really misses!
xPdf!!! XPDF makes me possible read a pdf in fixed size, without any reflow (for tecnical documents is necessary) and in landscape full-screen mode. Please add this! Thanks |

TIRWAL tried but HANLIN library was not good.
He will have success integrating xPDF sooner than later, no doubt. |

Hi:
Zoom 1 is fixed size (original size). Then, you choose rotate, and read it like XPDF. Bye |

NEWS,
Russians are working on multiple viewer on each format. for example, you can choose to use Adobe Reader for EPUB or back to the EPUB viewer. http://files.mail.ru/AF7VP5 Amended bookshelf: - You can run the alternative reading room for multiple formats - Removed the book are also removed from the list of recent books - Select a book on the shelf is highlighted frame - Change the system font affects the very shelf - The battery icon is redrawn - filled with black sections, but not white - Disabled code, gulping "extra" keystrokes (if you quickly press a few times, such as paging, it worked before only once, the other "swallowed", now - will consistently work out all these hits). It has been suggested that this feature - the cause of the strange keyboard. More about alternative reader: In the firmware in the / root / etc / filetype.conf for each type of file can now specify two viewer. The first (primary) is called when the custom of opening the book - short press of numbers - numbers of books in the list. The alternative - when you open the book from the context menu (long press figure, displays a menu to open / copy / delete - 1 = open). In this firmware - the following settings newsreaders: txt, html, rtf: primary = CoolReader3, alternative = China pdf: primary = Adobe, alternative = xpdf epub: primary = Adobe, alternative = CoolReader3 |
