Replacement parts

I just got the dreaded line out error on my DR800 (I have a white line across the center of the screen).

I assume there is no hope in getting repair work done.
Is there a source of replacement parts anyone is aware of?
Does anyone know the cause of this error, is it an issue with the screen or the mainboard?
Has anyone posted instructions on opening one of these things up?

It looks like a replacement is going for $200 off e-bay, but it seems like a waste for just a little line.

Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

They've said that temporary line out errors can happen if the battery gets really low. Try fully charging it and see if the problem goes away.

As far as repairs, we don't really know yet. The new company has said that they will definitely not be offering repairs for iLiads, and that DR1000s would be on an individual basis (I'm assuming mostly depending on the available parts that they have). However, they did not mention anything about the DR800.

My guess would be that they will offer to repair it, but there will be a cost.
