Sure, Steele Rudd books are now out of copyright, but they're kinda hard to find..

The epub quality is absolutely abysmal.

The person who converted them - or gave approval for the software to be used on them - should be forced to read every one of these in their present condition.

If they are ePubs from "archive.org" then they are "raw" OCR from the PDF page scans. The PDF scans are what the archive "really" stores, and they are generally very good - it's my main source of scans for proofing against. The ePubs are auto-generated, and a complete waste of time.

Well... not a *complete* waste of time.
Someone should use them for a proofreading effort to generate good epubs.

Yes, I've done that myself with a number of the more obscure Dickens magazine articles that I couldn't find elsewhere, but they need very, very intensive editing.

Why not have a go yourself with some of the Steele Rudd ones? Have to admit that I'd not come across him before reading this thread.
