Hello from Ireland
Hi
I'm retired now but always been a great reader. Got a PRS 505 2 years ago and havent read a paperback since. I find the books for sale on the net very expensive but have found a site which does ebooks and audio books (my other great occupation) at a good rate. So pleased to have found your site as I've had so much trouble with the Sony ebook library which wouldnt load up. Just followed Andybaby's solutions and for the first time I can get into the library! Have persuaded husband to try the 300 and hes hooked as well now. I now only buy handbags big enough to take my ereader. Only thing is I can't get a new cover for my 505 only the boring old brown one . Happy Christmas everyone - I'm snowed in but hey its December! |

Hi district_nurse and welcome to MobileRead.
I hail from Dublin myself. I too have a Sony PRS 505. I bought it as my second eReader. Haven't had any problems with the Sony Library. Touch wood. I use my Cybook most of the time. I love murder/mystry with a little romance thrown in for good measure Sorry to hear you're snowed in. I've just arrived home a short while ago. It's absolutely freezing out tonight. Expecting snow overnight here also. Going to have something to eat and settle down with my eReader and relax by the fire. I hope you continue to enjoy your 505 and your husband enjoys his Sony 300. Happy Christmas to you both. Slan Mag. |

Hya DR. Good to have your company. I've been a 505 user for two years now. The hardware is great, to library software isn't. I dropped it almost as soon as I got my reader. Try what I did and download the free Calibre Library software -- simple and effective -- and buy your books from wherever you like. Best wishes. Neil
