Calibre 0.6.27 starting problem (linux)

It installed fine, but:

$ calibre
link hasn't been detected!
link hasn't been detected!

Mmm ... I'm under Ubuntu Karmic. Previous versions used to work fine without any extra package.
Is libusb a new dependance?

I will search for it any way (and report).

Ok, I did install libusb-1.0-0-dev and it installs also libusb-1.0-0

Now it works but still complains:

fer@fer-laptop:~$ calibre
link hasn't been detected!
link hasn't been detected!

Anyway Calibre starts fine!
