How do I remove Recommendations in cover view

I am doing list view...but only cause I haven't figured out how to remove the Recommendations in cover view! Anyone know how I can do this? Only covers I Don't see are the ones direct from Amazon!

there is a way to remove it, but unfortunately i'm not at home with my kindle, else i'd give you confirmed detailed instructions, but if my memory serves me correctly, take roughly the following steps:

1. go to your home screen.
2. select settings (from the right most menu)
3. select device options
4. select personalize kindle (or something like that)
5. there should be something to turn off regarding recommendations.

if this is unclear, i'll try to post a more detailed description once i have my kindle with me. but hopefully, even if what i wrote above is slightly wrong, you can poke around and find what i'm talking about. the key is getting to the option to "personalize your kindle."

Katie1, go to Menu ==> Settings ==> Device Options ==> Personalize your Kindle.
Flip the toggle for "Recommended Content" to the OFF position.

EDIT: I was ninjaed while busy moving the posts to a new thread.

But I can confirm the exactitude of the instructions.

Did work right Now don't have any covers. Going to stick to list.

What about on the Android Kindle app? I don't see device options or personzlize your Kindle on any of the menus.

I don't the the Recommended/Select 25 can be disabled on the home (carousel) screen of the Android app, at least I've never seen an option to do so.

Thanks AnemicOak. I didn't see a way to disable the recommendations. I thought I may have overlooked it, but that appears not to be the case.

I answered the question what view folks were using. Then when on to say Why. Now I no clue IF I allowed to rejoin the prevous thread to ask How to get the covers back. This thread YOU started is Useless. BTW Harry seems others here are needing New threads more than I do! Since they are NOT asking about PWs at all!

HarryT did not start this thread, I did. And I don't believe the thread is useless, it seems to have helped at least one person -- see post #5.
Whether people own a PW or a Voyage is irrelevant, this thread is not exclusive to PWs.

Asking about Recommendations in a thread about sideloaded covers is completely offtopic. (Discussing covers vs. list is at least an opinion on the value of bothering with sideloaded covers.)
So no, please don't post to that thread if your question is about the Recommendations view.

Speaking of which, what exactly is not working when you turn of recommendations?

It works for everyone else who has ever tried it...
