Looking for Tool to Convert IMP to Some Reader Format

I've browsed this forum for almost a month now and haven't seen any mention of an IMP-to-Reader conversion tool, yet. Maybe I've missed something, so if anyone has seen anything, please let me know.

That being said, w/o a dedicated conversion tool I've given it a some thought and figured maybe converting to PDF might be the way to go. I have eBook Viewer 2.2 installed on my system and noticed that I can output the book as a PDF. My first attempts, prior to learning more about tools available here, resulted in a PDF with the wrong size specifications and I was originally planning on OCR'ing the PDF so I could output it into an RTF. Unfortunately my final PDF had a few extra "items" in the margins that needed to be trimmed to earn a successful OCR (this was before I found what PDFRasterfarian could do for PDF's; e.g., no need to OCR, etc.).

Anyway, here's to hopng there is some easy "batch method" that can extract the text from IMP (Rocket eBook format) files that I can now use in my Reader (better screen, along with other benefits) or even just plain text. Thanks for your help/suggestions!

Have you looked at the Amber Converter for Rocket eBooks? It says it does .RB format conversion, but I don't see anything about .IMP ....

I don't know anything about it, specifically, but the other Amber products I've played with have been top shelf.

I have never found a converter to make IMP books readable on other formats. It seems a dead-end format.

Me neither; though all the books I have in imp, I have in some open format also, such a converter would be handy because the imp files are very nicely organized.
Amber plans a Gemstar converter which should be what we need. If it works as well as the other ones I used from them, I would definitely buy it.

I'm not 100% sure but I think BookDesigner might handle those.

As far as I know, in BDesigner you can convert into .imp but not from. If you could I would be very interested to know.
