Gorgeous day here in the IceBox! Finally broke the heat wave. Looking forward to sleeping with windows open again. Trying to find missing pronouns...

Another +100 F day on tap here .... leaving to do grocery shopping early ... while temps still in the 80's F
Ran too many errands yesterday - in & out of overly A/C-ed stores -- developed a dandy case of heat sickness that floored me until 10 pm last night .... yech! |

Memo to self: Pack up LARGE boxes of heated air for SS & send ASAP!
Memo to self: Just because the thermometer reads under 100 F is NOT a good reason to take a walk .... sigh .... |

The power went out last Friday, came on the 4th, went back off the 6th, and just came back on. You have not lived until you've gone through a week of 90 to 103 degree weather with no AC, no electric, no ice, and lost your frig and freezer, and then lost everything that you restocked your frig and freezer with.
If the power goes back off again I may not be responsible for my actions. Edit: Oh yeah, and then there's the fun of walking out after the storm and seeing half the shingles that were on your roof scattered over the neighborhood. Further Edit: On the bright side I read a bunch of books while the power was off, so it hasn't been a total loss. Last edited by carld; 07-08-2012 at 11:27 PM. |

We've had some rain for three days in a row.....pretty much the first rain this year!
Helped with the wildfires I believe. Last edited by kennyc; 07-09-2012 at 06:43 PM. |

It is warmer because it is more humid. And my wrist hurts again. Note to self DO NOT FALL OFF TREADLIE AGAIN. Stoopid. Now whenever the humidity rises it hurts.
But thanks for the heat pooh it is nice in the mornings now. (except the wrist) |

We're having monstrous thunderstorms tonight - temps finally below 90 F! If the lightning gets bad, I'll sign off before I'm further roasted!

You're preaching to the choir!
Now we're having flash flood warnings! These storms aren't moving! Some areas have had 7" of rain tonight! And more storms are firing up overnight as the cold front sags to the south! But it's COOL! Below 80 F for the first time in weeks! |
