Thanks, everyone! Jeffrey PS -- I'm not such a noob to brick my device, but am coming the the conclusion I might need to downgrade my firmware to get the USBNetworking up and running... no ;debugON in 2.5.4... Last edited by JDShaffer; 12-12-2010 at 08:34 PM. |

For others looking to activate the USBNetworking mode even with a newer firmware (2.0.2 +) installed, I found the answer here:

Another update:
I got a terminal running on my K2i following the information here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=107192 However, I haven't figured out how to get an ESC key to exit vi (as vi is included in the basic Kindle linux). |
