There is a tune that's used widely in the US, and increasingly in other countries thanks to the influence of US programmes (e.g. Sesame Street).

I don't remember a song to learn the alphabet. But to tell the truth I don't remember learning the alphabet at all, though I suppose I did.

Of course; Sesame street. I used to watch it every day, with my little daughter. We had also this Sesame-tape for long car-journeys. You can wake me up at night and I'll sing every Sesame-song for you.

Starting to prepare to begin thinking about doing the accounts for 2010. For the moment, this involves clearing my dining room table to dig out, open and sort last year's mail.

Well, mail comes into several categories: unknown or personal, may mean I need to pay something NOW, contains an invoice that is paid automatically by direct debit, may contain something vaguely interesting, spam. I open the first two categories immediately, the rest...

Laughing. To cats, wet things must be dried. Chris just wet his hair down and then came and sat in his chair here. Sinatra (the Siamese), decided that his hair needed to be dried and got up on the back of his chair and started licking Chris's hair, to dry it. I didn't get a picture, darn it....

Pulled on my wellies & began cleaning winter out of my yard!

Translation - put on my boots & began removing all those dead rotten leaves I didn't get raked up last year. Stuff is beginning to sprout & turn green again!

Yes, you really should have gotten a picture! I gave my shih tzu a shower last night, and he spent a long while licking himself dry, before going to sleep. Poor baby! But he's all clean and fluffy now.

I just love the smell of a freshly bathed dog. Girly runs around like a wild thing for a few minutes, and then I put her in a fresh towel (hers) until she's dry.
