I was wondering...
is there a setting somewhere on my k3 where when I open a newly loaded book, that it opens with the cover at the beginning, instead of where it does, a few pages in? For the life of me, I can't seem to find where to change it. Thanks for your help.

Nope. The starting point is set by the publisher so some books will start on the cover whilst others will start on the TOC or first actual page of text. The eBook file has a tag that tells the reader where the first page is when you open it for the first time.
The Kindle doesn't have any setting which tells it to ignore that tag and to start on the first page/cover. |

I have tried to figure it out too. I seems to be the way the ebooks or published that it goes to the intro page. And that is what is called the beginning of the book.

There is no setting like that on the Kindle... no need to keep searching for one.
You're at the mercy of whoever created the book you're reading - for it's the formatting of the book itself that determines its "start reading" point. You would have to deconstruct each ebook and rebuild them to your own specs to achieve what you want. |

You can choose a location though and set it to the cover when you open the book if you want.

When you create your own eBooks (which I'd strongly encourage you to do), you can decide at which point they will open. Personally, I always set mine up so that they open at the table of contents.

I guess we should be grateful they don't start with the freaking FBI warning.
