Connecting Kindle Touch to Windows
Hi,
I have just got my Kindle Touch and when I try and connect it to Windows I am asked if I want to do a Scan and Fix or Continue without scanning. I remember seeing somewhere that is is not a good idea to do a scan on a flash drive so have opted for the Continue without Scanning, but as this was the first time I connected this Kindle to Windows I don't understand why it is doing this! Does anyone know how I can stop this prompt everytime I connect it to Windows? Thanks, Gavin, |

Doing a "scan and fix" should be harmless enough. Make sure that you always use the "Safely Remove Hardware" tool before unplugging your Kindle; that will avoid the problem in the future.

Thanks, the strange thing was that I only got the KT this morning and this was the first time I had attached it to my PC!

Ah well, one of life's mysteries. Do a scan and the issue shouldn't recur.
