Hyphenation in KDXG?

Do people know if lack of hyphenation is something built into each book or a system wide thing? I can't beleive in year 3 of the kindle era (and with a dictionary on board) they haven't implemented it. I get very weird layouts from time to time due to no hyphenation...

Sony hasn't implemented hyphenation either. I'm not sure about B&N but I doubt they have it. But you are right, they should ALL have implemented hyphenation by now.

The Mobipocket format definitely supports hyphenation - the Bookeen devices have had it for a couple of years now.

It's hard enough getting publishers to take out hard hyphens where they don't belong. I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for them to add soft hyphens, and for the software to support it (which I doubt it does now).

Yes.

Also, I find that Kindle software for both Android and PC have some support for hyphenation, though very conservatively implemented.

None on the Kindle hardware, yet, though.
