Newer PRS-600 firmware not released?
Spotted in the wild was ver: 1.0.02.13180 on a new unit.
My unit has ver. 1.0.01.08040 which is the latest on Sony site. New to Sony in this capacity. Anyone have a clue about their firmware release process? Cheers, kev |

Yeah, I just bought the PRS-600 and when check the installed firmware i noticed it was new than the one on the Sony support website.

Sony technical support would not answer my question about the fact that units are hitting the street with different firmware. They just said that the one I have is the latest release. It may have something to do with the image they use in manufacturing. Maybe a release that only differs by number & not any code difference??? Do you know the release date on yours? I don't know how to get that info. Hopefully it means that a new release is coming soon. Provided it enhances some function!

Sorry No, A few people have reported the "1.0.02.13180" firmware but no release date was mentioned.
