How to backup PDF annotation/scribble?

Now that annotation/scribble on PDF is possible, how do you backup them?

And what is the scheduled time for the companion desktop software that can read and display these annotation?

The annotations of all files in a folder are stored in the metadata.db file that is also in that folder. It contains the data for all files in a folder, so if you make a backup, you need to backup the complete folder and place the complete backup back. 'Merging' with an existing folder will probably not work.

And to answer your second question: there is no scheduled time for companion software yet.

In this case, I hope the scribble format and DB access is open.

It definately is. The liberscribble and libermetadb are fully open source, as well as the Notepad app. Sources will be released after we do the final 2.0 release.
