Historic Photographs

I can't seem to find a good resource for these on the digital superhighway. My local library only has ones pertaining to South Florida, and their selection is minimal at best. The best thing for SFL I found was a $40 coffee table book of postcards and such. But I don't want that.

Anyone know any good resources on teh miti interwebs where i can check out some ooooold photos?

Right now I'm looking into mostly Post-Reconstruction Raleigh for a story I'm working on. But, pretty much any old photo of the dirty south will suffice

I don't know if this would meet your needs, but I had some fun browsing around at the Library of Congress photo section...there's a Civil War section that might be helpful.

Excellent resource to start digging through. I may have to search some of the private collections listed on there, the civil war ones weren't really helpful in my original search. I'll have to go back tomorrow and double check. But, it's a great start and I appreciate the help

Okay. I'm an idiot. I think I finally figured out the keyword search and found the navigation arrows up top. These are actually really helpful. Original statement has been retracted
