Output Formats and Destination Profile
What is the relationship between the drop-down Output format on Calibre's main screen and the Source Profile drop-down on Calibre's Page Setup screen? In other words, how do these two options relate to one another?
Also, I am not clear what Source Profile on Calibre's Page Setup screen means or does. Are these features documented somewhere? I have looked at the Calibre manual; perhaps I missed something. Thanks in advance for any help anyone can provide. |

I was interested in finding out what Profiles are too, couldn't find anything in the forum, and the only thing I got from the manual was this:
http://calibre.kovidgoyal.net/user_m...hlight=profile The important part: "Affects conversion of font sizes, image rescaling and rasterization of tables" Don't understand why, for instance, a mobi file needs to be made for a Kindle compared to another reader. It's a mobi, it should be pretty much the same (very similar at least) in all mobi readers, right? |
