Complete Sherlock Holmes in ePub?
I'm looking for a Sherlock Holmes collection in ePub format (can deal with others, but ePub's easiest for my setup), preferably DRM-free and not outrageously priced.
Yes, I checked the collection here and on Gutenberg. Both had all the various books separately, but I'm looking for an omnibus-type collection. |

Thanks for the link. I do appreciate it. (happily downloading) ETA: figured out why I missed it. I used the alphabetical browse, looking under D. Didn't occur to me that would have filed under C, since to my USian POV, his last name was Doyle, so would file under D. Last edited by Seanette; 10-30-2010 at 01:33 PM. Reason: adding information |

I just searched for "Sherlock" inside the ePUB forum, because I knew HarryT had already uploaded it

Technically it should be filed under D for Doyle. In reality due to common usage (or rather 'abusage') "Conan Doyle" is taken to be his "last name" and as such you find his works often filed under C.
This is different from the composer Ralph Vaughan Williams, son of the Reverend Arthur Vaughan Williams, who has a compound though unhyphenated "last name". |

Informative conversation, with two helpful tips gleaned:
In cases of compound surname, try BOTH initials if doing alphabetical browse (honestly can't give a good reason that didn't occur to me). Just use the search function in the ePub forum and save myself the "now which version of this author's name am I going to find what I'm looking for under?" |

Please note that this omnibus edition is NOT in the public domain in the United States, because it contains "The Case-book of Sherlock Holmes", which is still under US copyright. You should not download it if you are in the US.

Conan Doyle himself used that as his surname, hence I an happy to follow his example.
