Question about % of ebook profits going to charity

I’ve seen people posting on their websites, blogs, FB and Twitter that they’re giving a percentage of the profits from the sale of their ebooks to charity.

What do I need to do that? Besides the obvious—choose a charity and a percentage to give. But what are the other things I need to do?

Thanks very much.
