Links in news (Calibre 0.7.27)

I had a problem with links in news feeds. When I preview news using Calibre (default fb2 format) just external links works. When I convert it to mobi and preview with Calibre the first click on cross-reference link leads me to the first page and further clicks just don't work. When I try it on my Kindle 3, each click on such link leads me to the first page (I'm using Kindle output profile). How make it works?

To navigate in a news feed on the kindle use the joystick.

By joystick you mean 5-way controller? I'm using it. Left and right buttons don't work. Middle button click on cross-reference link leads me always to the first page of feed.
EDIT: I converted mobi feed to html using mobi2html. All cross-reference links still lead to the begining of the document. There are just three generated anchor tags and are placed at the begining of html

If you have set the outptu profile to kindle then the MOBI files you download will be in the MAazon periodical format, which means you will be able to view a Sections list and articles list and jump from one article to the next using the 5-way controller.

I am having a similar problem. I had been having it before, but thought it could be an issue related to my version of Calibre, so I upgraded to 0.7.30 and tried to send the news feed to my Kindle. On the Kindle, I get a document that looks like HTML, but where the links all just take me back to the top of the document. Do I need to remove some of the possible file types in the configuration? I used the welcome wizard to set things up for using a kindle. Any suggestions?

Is the recipe creating a mobi file directly or are you going to a different format then converting to mobi? If the latter then change your Preferred output format to mobi.

As previously stated ensure your outptut profile is set to Kindle.
