How far would YOU go to buy a tablet/ereader?

I like them, but since my office provides me a free blackberry and free airtime I can't seem to rationalize the expense.

I sold ANOTHER person's kidney for my iPad! And what's that kid going to do with the ipad?
If he's so poor he has to sell a kidney for the thing I wouldn't even count him having even wireless at home or even a use for it... I respectfully propose his candidacy for this year's darwin awards!

Disgusting! Not because the boy but the people who offered such horrendous deal. I wonder how the kid was sure, that he certainly was going to get an iPad no matter what ...

I would not be surprise if the mother has to sell the iPad in order to cover additional medical expenses.

I think there is more to this story then meets the eye.
There are of course exceptions, but poor Chinese people do not act this way.

Even 17 year olds have a sense of family and national responsibility.

Most poor families in China would not have the resources to sue, and would be too embarrassed to let anyone know that a family member had acted so irresponsibly.

Also there is a lot more than a simple operation involved in determining if the kidney is suitable etc. The boy could not have done this in a few hours after school.

Sounds very National Enquirer to me

I'm not gonna lie, but kidneys are soo much more expensive than that. Just think about how much it costs to get a kidney? your medical bills would be through the roof. And he only got $3400.

Plus, technology changes every month. He's gonna need to sell a lung when the next version comes out. -_-

It would be MUCH smarter to donate a liver. Those can grow back at least.
