@PeterT - are you sure ?

My tests on 0.9.35 DOCX->EPUB conversions show that the EPUB outputs are smaller - e.g. what was 67 KB is now 52 KB, the uncompressed HTML that was 350KB, is now 160KB

These are simple 'books', one font, text only - very little fancy stuff.

Oh, all my expectations bang on target - smaller output, faster conversions, faster to load into reader etc.

The original conversion I did of Kovid's test document was 840,433 bytes; the new one is 2,521,596 bytes.

AH.. the second conversion includes Calibri - Italic, Calibr - Regular and Cambria - Regular, for a total of 1,681,249 bytes of compressed data.

Ignoring the fonts, the new version is slightly smaller
