Do you own a CyBook? I don't believe it would be legal for you to have a copy of the firmware unless you do! I'd suggest that you contact Bookeen and ask them.

If you need to reflash your firmware, send an e-mail to Bookeen support and they'll send you a link to it. As you'll see from the e-mail that you get back, people aren't allowed to redistribute the firmware or the link.

If they demand that from the people they send it to I think they have to respond to emails faster. It is ridicolous that it should take days or weeks to get the needed firmware when people here have it and can send it to you.

For most products, the firmware is available directly on the company's website. Strange policy indeed. Are they afraid of reverse engineering ?

Yes, it seems a very strange policy and I guess it really might be all about the STAReBOOK, NuutBook, LesEchos and so on devices.
The really sad thing is, that they do not even respond to emails asking about that...or any emails at all. |
