The sony got the best rating purely for the reading experience.
Cant wait for it to get released in this country, then maybe I wont be the only one with it on the metro.

That is excellent! Great pre-release publicity -- now let's hope they get the product out in a timely fashion so that anybody whose interest was piqued by that show won't have forgotten it already.

it sounds like it was a great report to get the general public interested. hopefully more shows will talk about e-ink devices ; more publicity can only be a good thing !

Hi all. Just pre-ordered my Sony PR505 from Waterstones. that is the location that is being linked from the Sony UK web site - £199 for the reader, with 100 free 'classic' (old) books, and 500 waterstone ebook points (whatever they are).

... and the price is pretty close to the US price. 199-VAT = 169 GBP = 335 USD

Not that far off the 299 in the US (list price) and certainly better that the GBP=USD that I have seen at times.......
