Hello,
1. From the nook user guide: "Your nook can display eBooks in other languages if the fonts are embedded in the eBook files." 2. You'll be able to use the wifi at a wifi hotspot but you won't be able to use the 3g wireless. 3. The nook comes loaded with 3 or 4 classic novels. 4. The nook does have a charger. However you can only purchase the nook if you have a billing address in the U.S. or Canada. I hope this helps. |

my friend nook does support Arabic but the problem is that when you
make the font bigger or smaller than (small) it will destroyed the file or the file will look the same with no different its hard to enplane that in English but you can understand from the photos \\\\\\\ this file doesn't change if i change the font size ever this another file on small font size but when i change the font size to medium for example it will be like this //////// sorry about the quality I took these photos by my IPhone //////// since i lost my usb cable and i don't have one right now i cant check your file but i will check it for u as soon as i get new cable. another thing if looking for an PDF's e-reader nook is not the right choice the pdf reading have to be develop and the screen is small I think Kindle DX is much better in reading PDF's file because it have big screen and if you don't mined if it doesn't have e-ink screen IPad is the best *sorry about my bad English |

I can confirm the nook display Arabic Pdfs but the font size is too small to be readable, and can't be modified..and I'm talking about regular texts with no images embedded within the file...
yes, it has a charger, and no pre-loaded books except the manual ... |

in the latest firmware, the font size of Arabic texts in pdf files can "really" be modified , this wasn't possible in the past, I just tested and it's ok

all available workarounds don't work with Nook, I found out the hard way it's worth mentioning , after replacing Droid.ttf font with modified one that contains Arabic letters i was able to view the Arabic words as separated letters instead of meaningless squares |

Thank you all very much.
I appreciate your help. I've already bought one and the Arabic font is tooo small as you mentioned b4. I can't feel happy to read the Arabic texts. Hope to find a solution Regards |

Hi,
I use Droidxxxx.ttf fonts which support Thai from other Android mobile phone to replace the builtin Droidxxxx font. These are Droid font files in Nook which you have to replace: DroidSans-Bold.ttf DroidSans.ttf DroidSansFallback.ttf DroidSansMono.ttf DroidSerif-Bold.ttf DroidSerif-BoldItalic.ttf DroidSerif-Italic.ttf DroidSerif-Regular.ttf Read more: http://nookdevs.com/Font_Changes#Fonts_on_the_Nook After doing this, I can read Thai website and RSS feeds. However, you must have softrooted you Nook before doing this; and find same Droidxxxx.ttf files which have same filenames in other Arabic supported Android phone. |
