Change or add hotkeys?

Is it possible to do so? I read the manual, but it just shows what the current shortcuts are. Thanks.

In many plugins - Yes. In Calibre itself - you can do it via the source code (you can do anything there, but hot key changes are relatively easy). I don't think there's a hot key control built in (although if there is, someone will post it here soon.)

Have you tried a good keyboard macro program? I use those all the time for things like this.

I've used one called Macro Express on the PC for about 15 years. On the Mac side, I've used QuicKeys for about the same amount of time. There are others around, but both of those work well. Or maybe I’m just used to them. I think they both have demo versions.
