Also you can create a table or graphics or whatever with Excel (or any spreadsheet), save that sheet as .pdf and then import it in Inkscape. The keys in order that results will be perfect are:

1. The .pdf must be saved with the highest quality. I discovered that the built-in "Save as .pdf" comand of the spreadshet, it doesn't make a good .pdf. It's preferable to save the sheet as .pdf with a program like pdfFactory.

2. When you import the .pdf in Inkscape (by using the command "Open") and the "Pdf Import Setting" dialog appears, in the "Import settings" field, you must set a value of 130 (VERY IMPORTANT) or upper.

In this post you can see an example of a svg table built with that method:

Thank you. The posted example is a plain table but you can convert as svg any table made with a spreadsheet with the styles (colors, borders, etc.) that a spreadsheet can apply.

@Turtle91

I had done a search on svg and came across the suggestion about changing stroke and fill. I knew a simpler, more direct way so I offered it. The fact that it was old was not relevant. Someone else may do a search and come across it as well.
