Kindle collected reviews
Lots of Kindle reviews these days, and we should try to pick out the best of them.
So I started a new Wiki entry listing various recent Kindle reviews in no particular order ordered by date of entry. Feel free to expand or edit. Link: https://wiki.mobileread.com/wiki/Amazon_Kindle_Reviews |

Four previews/reviews added:
* Kindle is nice, but lacks the pleasure of a book (Detroit News) * Kindle not ready to catch fire (Seattle Times) * Kindle takes reading to another level (Philadelphia Daily News) * The Kindle Is So Hot, It's on Fire Sale (Motley Fool) |

I just read the Detroit News one. It's bad enough that most of the reviewers on Amazon haven't touched one, now we have journalists writing reviews that haven't touched one either.

I agree. It's hard to justify writing a review on a device that uses new technology (E Ink) without actually having it tried out first.
Newly added reviews: * Amazon Kindle (Laptop Magazine) * Kindled, but Not Enlightened (Washington Post) * Kindling an interest? (Los Angeles Times) |

Post Pans the Kindle
Bob Pegoraro panned the Kindle in today's Post (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...120502611.html). I got the impression he'd decided on the review before he got his hands on one. Something you notice in the Post a lot. Last edited by MickeyC; 12-06-2007 at 04:42 PM. |

One major oddity, though. His Kindle battery ran out and he was very confused when the eInk screen was "stuck" on a page (normal expected behavior for eInk). But, Amazon support didn't recognize the issue when he called and suggested he return it (!). A terrible customer support response. |
