Request for device setup Odyssey HD Frontligt
Hi,
there is a Odyssey configuration already, but I do not know if it is optimal for the Bookeen Cybook Odyssey HD Frontlight, so I have attached needed information. When you (wifi) download from the Calibre server to the device, it would be nice of the book ended up in the right Author folder as set up by Calibre. As it is now it ends up in the default "Digital Editions" folder. As I imagine it, the only possibility way would be if Calibre send books in folders, and the device would merge by itself. N. |

Your device shares usb ids with the original cybook odyssey and is already being detected as the odyssey.

...but when looking again at output profiles in Calibre, there is only Cybook G3 and Cybook Opus, two devices that does not have the same features and dimensions as the Odyssey, afak.

For most devices it doesn't matter what your device is detected as. The only place it might make a difference in your case is conversions. The images may get resized to smaller images than you would like. To prevent this go to Preferences - Common options - Page setup and change the Output profile to Tablet.

Ah, ok, thanks.
So far I think I have had better results with the E-ink Big Screen, but it is tricky detective work to figure out the difference. I will try Tablet. What does the output profile control? Does it relate to more things than resizing the cover and file size optimization? |

Tablet profile ensures no images are resized, I'm unsure how it effects covers. The only file size optimization I know of is device independent and is part of the ePub output during conversions.
