Oh, Snow, does this mean that an eDGe App store is coming very soon? I sure hope so, I'd love to have a place where I can easily download apps that are going to play well with my eDGe (or dare I hope, designed *for* my eDGe?).

You can find the app store on the mobile site for the eDGe.

On your eDGe:

1) Make sure that the stock browser is your default browser (if you haven't installed anything like Dolphin or Opera, then don't worry about this)
2) Click on the icon on the side or bottom (depending on the orientation of your eDGe) that looks like a shopping cart
3) On the webpage that pops up, click on the button that says "Apps"

I know I am being a bit greedy, but I have not seen any new apps since the launch.
Even 1-2 per week would be good. I am not asking for much

Patience, the official launch of the app store isn't even until next week!

I believe that one of the admins said in another thread that there would be an official announcement as well as the unveiling of a submission process for additional apps. Once that is in place, I imagine that we will be seeing a lot more apps available for download (both free and pay).

Droid48 was an excellent choice for the first scientific calculator app in the store (though it's more like a food bank since everything's free so far). The 90s nostalgia runs strong in this one.

Not yet sure whether anything here is useful, but I found the sticky app thread on slatedroid for the Pandigital Novel (now that they are hacking it into an Android tablet).

http://www.slatedroid.com/vbulletin/...-useful-.apks&

I'm assuming if they can get those apps working on a 7inch tablet, we should be able to do the same? (Not sure which version of Android they're running, though.) Just thought it might be worth a look.

I read through the threads and here is what stood out for me: Opera Mini is now available via a direct link at http://www.opera.com/mobile/download/google/nexus_one/. I tried the variant I got off the Market yesterday and it is awesome - highly recommended.

EDIT: BTW, most of the apps that I got off the Market worked very well on the EE - the only problems were with Google Goggles (EE freeze) and FX Camera (bailed with error). Everything I got ran full screen albeit the latter 2 problem apps tried to switch orientation.

Some of the apps that ry and switch orientation will work if you correctly orient the screen for them first, i.e. switch to landscape mode the open the app. Fx camera won't, however tech is working on a solution to integrating the apps with camera problem.

Good to know! But we also have to keep in mind that not all of us have access to the Market because we don't all have Android phones.
