Formatting PDF for Kindle
Hi, I recently got a Kindle and was looking into PDF-Read 1.8 which does work great. However, my problem is that I have scans of classic books which have 2 pages per PDF page. The software converts it to a horizontal view of both pages, which is OK, but is difficult to read. Is there a way to chop the PDF pages in half so that 1 "book page" could be viewed in portrait instead?
I was experimenting with the processing options in the software but without much success with what I'm looking for... Thanks in advance for any help. |

There's almost certainly a Mac version available via fink etc., although I don't know what the package names would be -- Debian has pstopdf, pstops, and pdf2ps in 'poppler-utils', 'psutils', and 'ghostscript' respectively. Likewise for Windows under cygwin, but no idea about Windows-native.
