Smile New Kindle owner, new to the forums
Hi -

My name is Pam, I'm married and I live in Texas. I just received my Kindle a couple of weeks ago and I'm loving it so much! I'm happy to join a forum with other e-book enthusiasts so I can get the most out of my Kindle.
My favorite types of books to read are contemporary fiction, historical fiction, and some science fiction. I am a huge Stephen King fan, and I love to talk about favorite books and authors with others.

Welcome to MR, Pam, and be sure to check out the Lounge and the Book Club. The voting on the June selection should be beginning soon! A Thriller/Suspense novel is what we'll be voting on for June.

Of course, if you've already read The Mysterious Island by Jules Verne (available free here at MobileRead), or if you think you could do a marathon reading of it in three days, the discussion of that book (our "classic" May selection) begins on the 20th.
