Sorry, not the transformer. The model I saw was the Asus Eee Slate EP121. I haven't been following the transformer (watched a few vids. this weekend) to know when to expect it in Canada, but when it is, I would expect it would be in BestBuy, with the Eee Slate.

Both the battery which came with my EE, and the spare I just bought, seemed to come with a good level of charge from factory. I plugged em for the first charge, and after a half hour an audible hiss came out from the charger, and they resulted to be fully charged. Do you hear too the hiss when the battery is ready?

No. One or two users in the past reported that and I think they got those adapters replaced by Tech Support (or were told it was harmless). Maybe contact Tech Support and ask.

I, personally, do not like my electrical items sparking, hissing, buzzing, popping, or doing anything other than sitting there quietly and not too warmly

Dual screen is catching on. You may remember the Kno. And now Acer is also releasing a 2 x 14" LCD behemoth. Toshiba, I think, also had a limited editiong one.

Of course UPS came just after I left for class. I'm home now, registered and updating.
First impression - Aw how cute!
The black is a little iridescent, like my ASUS Eee PC901, I like it.
The LCD screen feels different too.
The Reader screen did not accept my touch on the targets at first try.
It found and connected to my WiFi very quicly and right now the update is at 95%; in the time it took to make this post.
Rebooting now.

OK - The update went smooth and I'm going to load my essential apps now. The weirdest thing is the camera - it works fine, no fuzzy green pic, even in a dimly lit room.

Me too- I bought another PE 'cause the price was just too good, and if Entourage goes down and my current PE dies, I'll at least have a back-up.

Mine just got here, and I am charging it a bit before starting up.

I received my PE today. Upgrading to Ermine and registration went exceedingly smoothly. I must admit that I am pleasantly surprised by the craftsmanship of the device; it feels substantially more "solid" than its big brother.

Of course, I am now freaking out about Cheyenne's experiences. Let's hope her problems were isolated and can be easily rectified.

I wonder if Cheyenne's original eDGe got jealous of its new little sibling?
