Crossed the nook off my list

So far I've only ever seen the Sony 300 and 600 (well the 505, too, before Target changed their displays). The 600 seems basically satisfactory. Got a chance to try a nook yesterday. I was very disappointed. It felt very top-heavy to me and the response time was agonizing. Particularly for trying to do any highlight/annotation. I was willing to play wait-and-see to see if they were going to come up with PDF notes, but not anymore. I guess they might be able to speed it up in the future, but I'm a bit dubious they will be able to make it lighter.

You know, Zieg, I've yet to read anything about the nook that would tempt me to buy one. N

Yeah - hate to say it but from what I have read so far, the Nook is not an option for me. It looks great and at the end of the day I hope they can work all the issues out so people that have purchased one can really get to enjoy the device. Was looking to get a 2nd device - but I want to wait until all the kinks have been worked out on the Nook.
