Well, sad but somehow did not surprise me. It's a rumor has been around in my country for a couple of years now.

The most important newspaper of my Country, published this: Gabo has dementia

I know it's in Spanish, but pretty much what it says is that Gabo is losing his memory, because he's old and in part because the old cancer treatment he had years ago.

The comments were made by his brother.
